Soulja BoyTellem says he’s ready for his first headlining tour stating, “It’s gonna be the biggest ever!” When interviewed about his nationwide tour Soulja said, “I don’t know what I have in store yet, it’s no telling when it comes to SouljaBoyTellem. I just know that it’s my first headlining tour and it’s going to be the biggest ever. We’re going to do some big venues. I plan on hitting all of the major cities. I’m gonna be three albums deep in the game so I’m gonna have a lot of music to party with. I’m going to bring some great artist out on the road with me. I don’t have a name for the tour yet but as soon as I do I’ll let the people know.” (Hip Hop DX)
After three years in the music industry, Soulja definitely knows what he wants! “It’s 2010, I got signed in 2007, so it’s three years now, officially, my third album finna drop. Everybody who ever bought any of my music, everybody that ever bought any of my albums, appreciate it. And we about to get ready to do it again. And I’m also headlining my own tour this year, 2010.” (Soulja Boy Video)
He also gave an update on the music collaborations he’s had this year, “N*ggas just been hitting me left and right like ‘Soulja I need you on a track,’” he said in an interview. “I just did a song with Lil Kim, the remix for ‘Download.’ Me, her, T-Pain and The-Dream. Me and Snoop Dogg doing a joint we got together…Me and R. Kelly got a song…I got a song I’m working on, me and Drake was supposed to go out in the studio man. But he fell, he fell on-stage last night, so, hopefully we still gonna get it in. You know what I’m saying? He cool, but I don’t know man. He took a pretty bad fall.” (This Is 50)
Soulja Boy has been sentenced to 12 months’ probation and ordered to pay a 1000.00 fine, following his arrest from his video shoot in late 2009. While filming in an abandoned house in Georgia, the cops arrived to investigate a disturbance call, upon arriving half the group (Soulja Boy included) fled the scene.
Soulja Boy was soon apprehended and spent the night in the Henry County Jail before released on bond.
Because being a rapper and a dancer is just not enough for our boy, he’s decided to make himself a triple threat: rapper, dancer and AUTHOR! Hoping to make his literary mark, Soulja Boy wrote a motivational book geared towards young people called Teenage Millionaire, to be released on July 28 2010…just in time for his 20th birthday.
Soulja Boy seems like he’s on top of his game right now. He’s so on top that some names that used to be big is kinda fading away for a bit. Hang on, he’s been on top of the game since he first started. Will Soulja abandon his online personality now that he’s on more conventional grounds? Like, say, delete his Twitter account, maybe? Soulja Boy told radio personality, Tim Westwood:
“I was thinking about that last night man. I just think, I don’t know man, you see Miley Cyrus deleted hers and then when he did it I was just thinking like ‘Who’s gonna be next to delete their Twitter?’ I don’t never say never because you never know, one day I might just wake-up and be like I don’t wanna be on Twitter no more but right now, nah, I don’t think I’d ever delete my Twitter. I work hard for them followers, the 1.9 milli’s baby. They gonna be disappointed in me man.”
