Shout out to Soulja Boy fans everywhere, your boy is gonna headline a show on October 22 at the Dodge Arena in Hidalgo. Time flies, and Soulja Boy has been making his gigs bigger and bigger. This time, Soulja Boy won’t just be performing alone, he’s gonna turn professional and by that we mean having his own show openers.

Okay, do not panic or get heartbroken, people.  We’re just telling you that some gossip sites reported that Soulja Boy is actually ENGAGED to a model named Rosa Acosta.  Why the conclusion?  Look at this picture.

That rock on Rosa’s finger is a bit too big to be a friendship ring.  We gotta agree on that.  But marriage, seriously?  Maybe they’re just having fun.  And maybe Soulja Boy was also having so much fun as he kissed her back.

Yo, come on.  We kiss our friends’ cheeks all the time, and wearing a diamond ring does not necessarily mean we’re engaged.  However you want to see this, your next question would be… who on earth is this Rosa girl?

Rosa Acosta wasn’t always a model. She started off as a classic ballet dancer, graduated from the Instituto de Cultura y Arte in her homeland, Dominican Republic, and she is one smart cookie. Did you know that she graduated with honors from the ICA and the Ballet School of Norma Garcia with a Bachelor in Art with mention to Classic Ballet? Yes, girl even became part of the Dominican Nacional Ballet as the youngest soloist member back in 2002.

Rosa moved to the US in 2006 and started her new career in the modeling world, and she’s now best known as a video clip model. Word is that’s where she and Soulja Boy met.

Great news, Soulja Boy fans!

Soulja Boy managed to grab 3 nominations for this year’s BET Awards. He’s nominated for the People’s Champ Awards category, Track of The Year category and Made You Look Award (Style) category. In the People’s Champ Awards category, Soulja Boy is nominated for his song “Turn My Swag On” and going head to head with Dorrough with “Ice Cream Paint Job”, Fabolous with “Throw It In The Bag”, Kid Cudi with “Day N Nite” and guess who… Kanye West with “Amazing”.

In the “Track of The Year” category, Soulja Boy competes with some of the biggest names in hip hop including Jay-Z’s “D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)”, T.I. ft. Rihanna with “Live Your Life”, Young Money (Lil Wayne & Company) with “Every Girl” and again, Kid Cudi with “Day N Nite”. Playing the huge arena, aren’t we, Soulja Boy? Well we are and we can’t be more happy about it!

And to prove that our boy has real swagger, in the Made You Look (Style) category, Soulja Boy shares the nomination again with Jay-Z, Kid Cudi, Lil Wayne and Kanye West.

Calling all Soulja Boy haters – this one’s for real, y’all.

So if you’ve been hatin’ on Soulja Boy, you gotta listen to what Snoop Dogg has to say.  Snoop gave props to Soulja Boy and supports Soulja Boy in a video:

“N*ggas was always hatin’ on a n*gga when he come out.  They hate on everybody. But when you see a n*gga really know what he doing and it’s your craft and you come hit after hit after hit, n*gga can’t do nothing but say ‘Man, I’m sorry for hating on you, you’se a real n*gga. You hear to stay.’ Soulja Boy, we come from two different worlds, we different generations and what not, but we come together right now to unite and show love — I apologize for all the hate that I had towards Soulja Boy, towards what he was doing in the beginning of his career — as a man, what I understand what this man is and what else he’s doing and how he’s doing what he’s doing, I support him, wrap my arms around him and love him. Soulja Boy seems to be raking in support from veteran rappers lately.  Just recently, rapper 50 Cent shows love to our boy by giving him a state-of-the-art tour bus, in which Soulja Boy can work on his tracks.  Newest addition to Young Money, Drake, also praised Soulja Boy for his marketing skills.

“Soulja Boy is the smartest artist of our generation, I think period and I think out of anybody.  Whoever it is, whether it’s him or his team or the people around him, whoever has the thoughts to do the things he does, is genius and I’m so happy for him”

Currently, Soulja Boy is also busy in the studio, working with Kanye West.  S-Beezy is excited about this:

“I’m working on Kanye’s next album right now.  We working together on production because he makes beats and I make beats. Right now I’m remixing a couple of records for him. I’m actually working on [Kanye's] album while he’s working on my album.”

So, Soulja Boy’s got all the huge names backing him up.  Do you really still wanna hate him?
