Soulja Boy on His Collaboration With Kanye West

Our Soulja Boy is about everywhere nowadays, and he’s not only rapping. Now the boy wonder is also producing and he’s not producing for new emerging artists. Soulja Boy prefers to go in the bigger pond and play with the bigger fishes in the industry. Next to the previously-mentioned collabo with Chris Brown, Soulja is reportedly mixing tunes for Kanye West. Whoa, that’s big, considering that a few months back he was only reppin’ out Kanye’s Nike Air Yeezys at the 2009 MTV Movie award.
MTV got an interview with Soulja Boy regarding his project with Kanye West.
In case you can’t play the video, here’s what Soulja Boy said about his collabo with Kanye.
“Me as a producer, I think I’ve grown tremendously, I’ve been in the studio with Kanye. I did three tracks for him back-to-back.”
And he mentioned that Kanye has been a great partner.
“Me working with him, collaborating different beats. Him showing me a lot of stuff I didn’t know. Me showing him a lot of stuff he didn’t know. He had an ear for my sound. Of course I had an ear for all the stuff he did. Genius! You know what I mean?”
The process is not exactly as easy as you might think, people. Soulja Boy also talked about how Kanye shows him tough love when it comes to producing.
“The process with Kanye — he’ll come in and it depends on what it is. If I’m making the beat from scratch, I’ll just work. If he’s got a sample … It was three different samples that we was working on. On one of them, he was like, ‘I want this to go here, I want you to do this.’ I like when an artist pushes me how he was pushing me. He doesn’t go easy on me. I make it and be like, ‘Here.’ Nah, I had to go over it several times. It can be frustrating too. At the same time, sitting there trying to make a beat for the person that’s right in front of you, it can be a lot of pressure, but it’s all fun. At the end of the day, we’re making hit music.”
And hit music it will be!

Isn’t it remarkable how one particular person can discover someone funny and also the next individual not?My brother’s think Lee Evans is brilliant. I believe he’s dire.Ten years ago I thought Harry Hill was the funniest man on the planet,no-one else I knew acquired him in any respect. I lauigh like a drain at Al Murray yet my entire family don’t get him in any way.My dad thinks Jethro is the funniest comedian within the world. I discover him as funny as piles.I’m not a substantial fan of Brand but do assume he’s a very fascinating chap and really appreciate his TV products.
